Duties and responsibilities: Opticians fit and dispense eyeglasses for patients based upon prescriptions written by ophthalmologists or optometrists. Optician’s help the customer’s select eyeglass frames and then measure their faces so that correct size frames can be ordered.

Salary: $19,000 - $40,000

Education: Students should take high school courses in physics, Alberta, mechanical drawing, and geometry. A high school diploma or GED certificate is needed to begin training as an optician.

Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one? Why? Why Not? To be onset I think I wouldn't want to be one because looking more in to it it looks like in that job you need to be really stuck up that’s why I wouldn't want to be an optician.
