Duties and Responsibilities: Recreational therapists plan, direct, and coordinate recreation-based treatment programs for people with disabilities, injuries, or illnesses. Recreational therapists use a variety of modalities, including arts and crafts, drama, music, dance, sports, games, and community reintegration field trips to help maintain or improve a patient’s physical, social, and emotional well-being.

 

Salary: $42,280

Education: Recreational therapists typically need a bachelor’s degree. Many employers require therapists to be certified.

Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one? Why? Why not? To be honest I would not like to become a recreational therapist because the fact that there’s a lot going on and I wouldn't like to be me for the rest of my live.
